Designing your dream home can be a rewarding and fun process. The design allows you to shape every aspect to align with your vision and lifestyle. Plans are completely customizable to always suit your needs.
Every detail matters in the design of a new home. Before starting the initial design, knowing the needs & wants of the client is the first phase.
The second phase is coming up with an initial design. When the footprint of the house is concrete a front elevation is completed. It is normal that there is a lot of back and forth during the second phase.
Once the design and elevation style are approved, the next step in the residential drafting project is completing the construction drawings. A package will be prepared to apply for permits and send it out to trades for pricing.
For Home Builders
R90 offers preliminary planning with each lot you are building on. To expedite the process, knowing the elevation style can get the process completed quicker.
When preliminary design is approved a pre-architectural approval and plot plan package will be completed to get the process started. This allows you to apply for pre-architectural approval and to get the house plotted before the construction drawings package is complete.
Lastly, a complete construction drawings package will be completed as part of our residential drafting services. This allows you to apply for permits and send the drawings out to trades for pricing.
R90 can help come up with master models for your company or we will re-draw your existing models into our system at no charge.

There is no set time. The residential drafting process could take up to one week to two months. It all depends on how many design changes there are.
